How many of the "New Essential" books are there?

There's "new" editions of Characters, Vehicles and Vessels, Weapons and Technology, Droids, Chronology, and Alien Species.

 

I never seem to see the alien species one, which I've been looking for, but the others seem to be out in abundance. Was it more recent?

 

Eh, while they're wonderful to flip through, the Essential Guides are pretty useless in terms of looking for information. They can't remain current, and everything they have in them you can find on wookieepedia for free. Only one I'm really wanting is the Essential Guide to the Force.

I have all the ones that have came out already.
I wonder if there will ever be a New Essential Guide to Planets and Moons?

 

I hope so. I hear the original was one of the better Essential Guides.

 

I think the upcoming "Atlas to the Star Wars Galaxy" will cover what an NEGTPM would do.

 

I got the NEC soon after it came out, and it is indeed excellent. The only problem with the guides is they go out of date fast.
