Born out of a long-ago discussion in the social thread that I was thinking about today
I only have two; tennis and dress.
I am a man and I own a lot of things to wear on the feet, not sure you'd consider them all 'shoes' though.
Everyday shoes, two pairs of Dress Shoes, Running shoes, three Pairs of sandals, Hiking Boots and Snowboard Boots. Yeah I think that is all. The last two are kind of specialized but I wear them a fair bit.
I own somewhere between 5 and 10. That includes the shoes I wore to my wedding and a pair of bowling shoes.
5 pairs. 2 pairs of sneakers and 3 pairs of dress shoes.
More than I actually wear. I have like 3 pairs of tennis shoes, about 9 pairs of dress shoes, 5 pairs of sandals/flip flops, and 2 pairs of boots. And actually I think I have more...
Two pair of dress shoes, two pair of running shoes, a pair of hikers, some sandals, and a bunch of "outdoor work shoes" that should probably be thrown away.
Do boots count?
Yes I have 9, counting my rain boots and not counting my shower flip=flops (oh, dorms).
Five. One dress, three skate, one Converse.
Are we counting boots here? (I live in Canada)
Work shoes, dress shoes, tennis/gym shoes, thongs (flip flops to you filthy-minded Americans), 2 pairs of sneakers, couple of pairs of slipon going-out shoes, work boots.
I got: one pair of dress shoes, one pair of Pixie boots, two pairs of winter skate shoes (I live in Canada), one pair of running shoes and three pairs of skates. I probably have a few other pairs that I forgot all about... and to think I want to shop for a new pair
2 pairs of cloth summer sneakers, 1 pair of winter sneakers (because I hate having to change my shoes for gym class, and I can't wear the summer pairs when the streets are covered in slush), 1 pair of work boots which are currently my favorites, 1 pair of sandals, and 1 pair of winter boots. And possibly one or two others that I never wear and can't remember.
A pair of DC's, a pair of Converse, and Airwalks as my P.E. shoes
11-15. I have a lot more shoes than I would care to mention; I'm not really a shoe person and prefer to go barefoot if I can. But when you're a performer who has stacks of dress shoes for all performance occasions (black heels for wind ensemble and orchestra concerts, black flats for solo concerts, silver heels for going out to fancy places, etc - you get the idea) and you live in a winter climate and therefore have a couple sets of winter boots plus ski boots and a couple of hiking boots... it adds up. The 11-15 is not including the multiple pairs of shoes I have for various theatre related things (like my pointy-toed shoes that my clown wears) since I barely wear those at all.
4. CAT Boots I never wear, Converse I never wear, smart shoes I wear once in a blue moon (ie. interviews), and some Animal skateshoes which I wear whenever I go to town. Other than that, don't wear them
Three. All of them Converse Chucks. They're very versatile.
