ST How many times are you planning on seeing Episode VII??

Well, I am in for two screenings now. Friend I haven't seen in a long while is a Star Wars fan and she'll flip her collective lid when she finds out there's a trailer for Captain America 3 attached. That's always funny to watch her get all happy about Chris Evans and his muscles. Me? Show me the Bucky Marvel...stop freaking teasing me with 15 minutes a movie. If that.

Ahem..and then Star Wars... Maker willing, we'll enjoy that too.

 

I'm booked to see it December 17th. Whether I see it a second time depends on the film and/or if other friends want to see it.

 

I saw the special edition OT once, TPM 7, AOTC 3 and ROTS 5 times. I imagine I'll see TFA 4 or 5 times in the theatre!

 

At the cinema? Probably twice. IMAX on 1st day and then a comfy 2D afternoon midweek showing after christmas. If it's amazing, maybe go a third time.

 

I'll probably see it 4 or 5 times.

 

My viewing history in theaters (I'm 33 before TFA opens):

TPM: 53 times (50 plus 3 on the 3D rerelease)
AOTC: 54 times
ROTS: 24 times (not including Celebration 3D viewing)
ANH: 3 times (SE)
ESB: 2 times (SE)
ROTJ: 4 times (SE)

I have tickets already for 3 TFA viewings including the Marathon screening that will add 1 to each of the above counts. I plan to see it 4 times opening weekend (don't have my Sunday ticket yet).

I'll probably see TFA 25 or more times. Assuming of course it's good.

Not sure. At least twice though I only have tickets for the first time yet. My thesis supervisor will watch it at least 3 times.

TPM: 2 (second time was 3D so only saw it once on original release)

AOTC: 3

ROTS: 3

ANH: 2 (both times special edition)

ESB: 2 (both times special edition)

ROTJ: 3 (once originally in 83 then special edition)

As for TFA? 0?

 

I didn't know about this at all, but THANK YOU! I will sign up for this right now because my local theater and several others are all participating in my area. That's an incredible deal. I already go to movies a ton every year, but this would make me go to more of them. Thanks!

Never mind I can see my TFA count being well above 25 with this.

 

Oh PS: Anyone who is going to a marathon screening, when / how early are you showing up?

Ours starts at 4 am and I'm hoping midnight is good enough. I don't need to be first but top 30 is important.

 

I do have tickets for Saturday and Sunday with the wife, kids and friends.

I would like to see it by myself in realD on Thursday night, I wonder if there is any possibility?

 

I will see it once for every midi chlorian that Finn has. So a lot.

4 times on opening weekend and if i like the movie ill see it 20 more times after that.

 

TPM - 9 times
AOTC - 6 times
ROTS - 15 times

If TFA truly is a great film (or at least gets a high rating on Rotten Tomatoes), then I need to up the ante on Episode III

Seeing it 2 times in 4 days alone (12/17 and 12/20)

I saw ROTS 9 times back in 05. I'm shooting for 15 TFA viewings.

 

I plan to see this movie at least 3 times in theater, ideally 5 times. I had initially floated the idea of seeing it back to back on the same night for my first two viewings, but then tickets went on sale and every ticket site on the internet crashed for 3 hours, so I'm settling for one viewing on the first night and the second a few days later.

 

Did you place the same number of calls to the Prequel Trilogy suicide hotline?

 

I certainly won't be seeing it 60+ times like I saw ANH in theaters on its first run. I don't have 7grand to drop on movies
But I do have tickets for two so far. First. with my son, second with my best friend

 

Some of the number of times people saw the other films in the cinema is absurd. My record, for any film, is four (TPM). At this time in my life, I don't think I would ever be bothered to go and watch the same film more than twice. And those will be spaced out.

 

Red_Leader_313 Thanks for the info about MoviePass - I might spring for a three month moviepass next May if finances will let me so I can try to break my Captain America record (saw CATWS 14 times theatrically.)

TFA definitely 2x. I'll have to wait on additional screenings even if I do lose my collective fan woman marbles over it.
