Damn, after reading these posts I realise I am not a true SW fan
Depending on how much I like it, a few times.
I saw AoTC quite a few times, I don't remember how many times I saw RoTS.
Why u say that Troubled Mind? You don't have to see it a 1,000 times on the big screen to be a true fan. But The Saga has one of the best repeat viewings of any franchise ever. A lot of fans do watch the films multiple times. I love watching it at home but to me this series is best on the big sceen. I had so much joy watching Menace in 3D 2yrs ago just to see a Star Wars film on the big screen again was great.
Yeah I guess you are right! I guess it probably comes down to my preference. While these movies do look way better on the big screen, there is something about being able to pause and lounge around that I prefer. For example I watched RotS once in the cinema and probably about a dozen times on dvd. I have promised not to watch any more SW until I get the blu-ray complete saga.
5-6 times, unless it's teriible
Depends on how good it is. I figure at minimum 4 times. I will watch it when it comes out then before 8 and then I will watch 7 and 8 before 9. And then I will marathon them all straight through at least once depending on quality. Also i will actually go to the movie theaters which I really only do for Sci-Fi and Fantasy movies because its the only time I feel a large screen or imax matters. Never go for comedies or animation unless someone forces me.
No matter what happens God Willing, I'm taking That entire weekend off. I want to make sure I get Tickets opening day. I heard when Episode I came out a very large pencentage of people took that entire Weekend off work. They said US Productivity was down when Episode I came out cause of so many people calling out, lol.
I'll probably go once or twice to the theaters
However, once I can get it on my 70 inch HDTV at home, I will probably watch it every day until Ep. 8 comes out
I have decided that the number of times I see Episode VII in the theater will be proportional to the amount of screen time Bob receives.
I generally saw the PT half a dozen times or so all told so I would expect at least twice.
If it's good then I might go more.
Once in a theater. After that, who knows. So far I haven't made it through an entire second viewing of an Abrams film, but maybe that streak will come to an end thanks to the Star Wars factor and the other talent working on Episode VII.
Well Abrams has only directed 4 films. "Super 8" was the only non-sequel/reboot. I think he's still growing as a director and the book hasn't been written on him. I've seen every Abrams directed movie on the Big Screen:
Mission Impossible III - C (Pretty good but not great)
Star Trek - A (Great reboot)
Super 8 - B (Nice trip back to the late 70's early 80's Spielberg/Lucas Era)
Into Darkness B (Good Sequel)
Mission Impossible 3 - A-
Star Trek - A-
Super 8 - B
Into Darkness - B+
It really depends on the quality of the film. I'd say 5 is a safe number.
This Puppet just probably added another viewing for me
I'll be in the theater so much they'll think I'm a squatter.
atleast 2 times if not 4..
I'm going to say as many times as possible. I've been waiting to see Master Luke Skywalker since I was a kid.
One if it is only good. 2 or 3 times if it is great. As much as a love film, i can't bring myself to watch the same thing a bunch of times in a row.
Two or three times, maybe more depending...
Please, why would I go see this Episode VII? Sounds lame.
As many times as necessary.
