Richmond,VA How often do you guys meet now?

Looking thru this page, I am not seeing that many people still getting together for events. Forum itself isn't very busy.

Or, are you guys just meeting secretly?

 

We still meet every month. Most folks have moved over to a php board that a couple of the guys set up. Myself and a few of us others hang out on both since we know this is still a common ground for most folks. We have also done a few get togethers that are more family friendly with the group on here. It is slower now but it's not dead.

I guess since most of us are 501st we get together as well as post on the Garrison Tyrannus forums as well.

I think we should get back to meeting just for the love of Star Wars. As I discussed on another thread, its probably up to the CR? But I dont see why we cant get together at least quarterly. I'd like to keep it to food courts. Chesterfield Towne Center, Shortpump, Virginia Center Commons, then throw in a Five Guys! Thats what I'd like to see as far as getting together outside the boards as it would cover all parts of the Richmond area throughout the year. Our membership has really shrank but as long as the boards stay active, that may cause others to come in and play or even come back. I like the food court idea because it doesnt cost much, plenty of places to sit and a large selection.

Dont get me wrong, I dont mind a restaurant type thing from time to time but I never seem to walk out of those places for less than $20!

I propose quarterly meetings. April, June, September. Food court idea I like because I usually end up at the book store before or after!

 

So how about Monday, April 19th around 7PM? We could hit the Chesterfield Mall Food Court and then check out B&N for some coffee and books.

Meetings tentatively set for quarterly.
Third Monday of the month, 7pm.
April, June, September, December.

We'll look for places to eat/swap stories as we get close to the date.
