I'm not satisfied, he still has sins to answer for. Throwing love at an unborn child does not excuse infeidelity. He is still a dishonorable coward, who sook shelter in the arms of another woman. At least Jacen had an excuse for his actions.

 

The way Anakin checks on his family at night is very sweet. 'Bout time he decided to talk to Tahiri - good grief, I thought Jacen could be "slow"....

And Jag crawled in with Jaina after her parents were asleep? I wonder if Han will find out (I'm sure Leia probably knows)...

He and his friend were having a friendly fight on New Years about which is better, army or navy.

 

Navy, just getting on and off base is easier. Marines and Shore patrol do their job. At an army base your luckey if half the grunts arn't soused with beer. At least the Navy does it off base.

 

This is really short . . . but it'll be worth it.

Anakin found Tahiri the next day in a lounge. She was staring out a window into the darkness of space. Anakin sat down next to her on the couch.

It was a few minutes before she acknowledged his presence. ?I thought you were avoiding me,? she said stiffly.

?Not so much avoiding you as figuring out how to talk to you.? Anakin sighed and ran his fingers through his already unruly hair. ?This is all wrong. You?re my best friend. I should be able to tell you anything.?

?But you?re not,? she concluded.

?No, and that pains me,? he replied softly.

Tahiri sighed and turned so that she was facing Anakin. ?Anakin, I??

He silenced her with a finger over her lips. ?No. You?ve always been the one who talked. Now it?s my turn.? He took a deep breath. ?I love you, Tahiri, and I love Zavad. I don?t know what I would do without the two of you.?

?Anakin, you say you love our child, but would you really take an active role in his life??

?I already have.? Anakin reached out to her with their Force bond and led her down to the presence that was their son. Tahiri was shocked when the baby recognized both parents.

?You?you??

?Have been going behind your back and getting to know our son, yes. For months, actually.?

?Why didn?t you tell me??

?I couldn?t think of a way to. But this is stupid. I love you both, and I?m not letting you get away,? Anakin said, with a look of fierce determination on his face.

?Anakin.? Tahiri sighed as she said his name. ?I don?t know about this. Are we really meant to be together??

?Would we be getting Zavad if we weren?t??

Tahiri stood up. ?I?ll need some time to think,? she said. ?I?ll let you know before Zavad is born.? She started to walk away when she felt something flow down her legs. Oh, Force, what is this?

Glad to see he fessed up about doing that behind her back. Hopefully during the anquish of childbirth she'll forget about his mistake.
