ST How will the romances play out?

There is lots of debate going on concerning the Han\Leia\Sana love triangle in various other threads.

 

There won't be a love triangle, she will be history by the time ESB rolls round.

I'm still extremely unclear as to what romances will form. I'm assuming Rey and Poe...

Ok I ship Kylo and Phasma in a Jaime Lannister/Brienne type relationship. They are not involved sexually or romantically, but there is lots of tension. Now I know that those two are NEVER going to become canon so a girl can dream

I can't decide on who to ship with Rey so I'll just ship her with both Finn and Poe. Though I have a feeling Rey/Finn will become the canon relationship. Hopefully the films don't focus too much on the relationships later down the line and god FORBID they turn it into some competative love triangle (like Bella, Edward and Jacob). I want our three leads to stay friends and not be torn apart cause they both like Rey.

 

If they keep it subtle, that works. All I ask is no pop songs and musical numbers to lure the opposite sex...

Darth Claire - Kylo and Phasma? Sure, why not. I loved the tension between Mulder and Scully during the first five seasons of the X-Files before TPTB capitulated to the fan base and shipped them.

I am not sure who would be our romantic duo in this trilogy, but I hope Finn gets the girl.

 

In case anyone missed it, JJ confirms romance will be included in the film.

Maybe Finn and Phasma... When Finn ditches the Stormtroopers, Phasma takes it badly and ruthlessly hunts Finn across the galaxy...

If there' romantic romance in TFA , it's obviously a ReyxFinn affair.....but I wouldn't count out Finn&Poe just yet.

Except that Kylo Ren is no Jaime Lannister.

 

I know....well...unless they make him into a Jaime-esque character (minus the incest). A character who at first we are all against (I mean he pushed a kid out the window) but through the course of the show we learn more about his backstory and motives and we eventually grow to root for the guy. Yes he may not be perfect but we like him immensly more than we did the first season.

 

I mean Kylo is an obsessed fanatic,more similar to someone like Melisandre than Jaime. Somehow I doubt that such a person is Phasma`s type, but she joined the FO, so who knows.

 

Darth Claire I think it`s more realistic to ship Kylo/Snoke at this point.

 

I don't think Finn and Rey will become lovers. If they do, the trilogy jumps the shark. Its better to keep an audience interested instead of giving them what they want right away. I think Rey and Poe might have a relationship. Han and Leia might revisit old feelings (of course this depends greatly on how much of the trilogy Solo is in. I have a bad feeling that he might not survive Episode VII).

 

this post makes no sense whatsoever. What's the difference between a Finn/Rey pairing and a Poe/Rey pairing?

 

Finn and Rey are ( in my estimation) the main characters. If they get together too early, the audience is like, "well we've seen that." Its better to drag it out a little. Its good storytelling.

 

If another romantic relationship is done as well as Han & Leia's, I am all for it!
