ST How will the romances play out?

If there is a romance in the ST I'd bet money that it will play out more like Han and Leia's and nothing like Anakin and Padme's.

 

I would say marriage could aid in the overcoming of differences.

I know this echoes Jaina and Jagged Fel in the old EU Legends but just putting the thought out there.

Doesn't necessarily have to happen or even begin in TFA.

 

so far the only romance i've seen is between Kylo Ren and Vader's helmet

 

And there was much rejoicing.

 

Personally, I would actually prefer it if there was no romance in the ST, though I obviously realise how unlikely that is.

I don't think Star Wars has ever handled romance remotely well.

 

Captain Phasma and Han Solo are totally going to hook up!

 

So, if Rey was Han and Leia's daughter and she inherited her Grandfather's possesive and aggressive streaks, her Grandmother's dullness, her Fathers couldn't care less attitude and her Mother's rudeness would any man go within a million light years of her? She would be lucky to get a Wookie to kiss her

 

Daisy and John definitely seem to have a ton of chemistry, so I could see a romance between Finn and Rey. I just have two requests:

1. Don't rush it. Let the tension build up through the trilogies

2. And keep the romantic dialogue as non-cheesy as possible.

 

If Finn and Rey have a romantic relationship, I would like it to wait until VIII. I hope they get plenty of time to become solid friends, first!

 

What about Finn and Poe getting it on and leaving Rey in the dust?

I think it's reasonable confirmed there will be no gay relationships, so looking at straight pairings....

Poe Dameron and Captain Phasma. Tell me that wouldn't be bad ass!

 

If Rey turns out to be the only heir of the Skywalkers I would rather have the Skywalker line die out (so no romance for Rey). But if there is also a son of Luke to carry on the line I guess I am fine with her and Finn ( although I would prefer her to get together with Poe Dameron).

 

Ha, what a turn up for the books that would be lol. A gay romance in a Star Wars film! I can just imagine a collective 'turn away' from the audience at the kiss scene LOLOL

 

But it'd be a collective eye-bulge if it were two women. Come on, we all know that there'd be very little turning away if say, Captain Phasma kissed Rey at some point. The double-standard is there.

 

Romance between C-3PO and R2-D2, the result of this romance is BB-8.

 

So... females are so low in the reproductive hierarchy it is better for a line to die out than continue on through one? And what is wrong with Finn that he is unworthy of being the father of the only continuing Skywalker line? He makes really brave choices in this (based on the rumors) and we know virtually nothing about Poe that shows he is a good addition to the Skywalker lineage.

If there's a romance, I'm thinking it will be Rey and Finn...unless Finn is Luke's son and cousins aren't aren't legal in the GFFA,

 

Daisy and John look cute together, they seem to have good chemistry in their interviews too and I have a feeling they'll be paired together for the press rounds.

 

Out of curiosity, without knowing what the characters will turn out like, why would you prefer that Rey get together with Poe rather than Finn?

I am not against a romance if done well but if Rey is the main hero I feel I prefer her to not have any romance.

And Anakin/Padme don't have many similarities to Han/Leia?

Han and Anakin are both kind of jerks. Also they're cocky, arrogant, bad boy like characters. Padme and Leia like them, but they don't want to admit it.


Padme: Please don't look at me like that.
Anakin: Why not?
Padme: Because it makes me feel uncomfortable.
Anakin: Sorry my lady.




Princess Leia: Let go, please.
Han Solo: Don't get excited.
Princess Leia: Captain, being held by you isn't quite enough to get me excited.
Han Solo: Sorry sweetheart. I haven't got time for anything else.




Padme nor Leia could not tell Anakin and Han they loved them until they were about to die.

"I know."

 

The Han/Leia romance is nothing like the Anakin/Padme romance. Your post should be in the dictionary under the entry: "grasping at straws."
