Luke should die on his terms, like Obi-Wan did. That is all I ask.
If Luke has to die, have it be in Episode VIII or IX, then come back as a Force Ghost. Killing him off early in the new trilogy will piss me off big time. Have it be a meaningful death.
It can be meaningful and still be in Episode VII.
I can picture Luke's final moments to be much like Yoda's where he's simply reached the end of his time. Given Mark's age and appearance, I just wouldn't buy it that he's decided to go out in one final blaze of glory, unless it's for the sacrifice of a romantic interest or one of his children. I've always pictured an older Luke as both being at peace with his world but also as an inspiration to others. Again, like Yoda.
I mean, Qui-Gon died in TPM but was still relevant in the next two movies...
At the climax of Episode IX, saving the entire trilogy for the main character ala how the main character of the PT (Anakin) ended up saving the day for the main character of the OT (Luke). So the main character of the ST (whoever) is saved by the main character of the OT (Luke) heroic last minute sacrifice.
He should go force ghost at his birthday party while giving a speech about taking a long holiday.
In his sleep. He earned it.
If Luke has to die, may he go out in a blaze of glory or may he die peacefully surrounded by family and friends.
I think they should avoid killing any of them in VII to be honest.
I like this idea as well. I think Luke just fading into the background and not being shown his death, would be best. Perhaps he goes off on his own to the Unknown Regions to confront some threat by himself and just never coming back. This way the actual fan can come to their own conclusion on how they think he ultimately passed. Just my opinion.
PLEASE do not be ambiguous! I can't stand ambiguous!
Then we're right back to having the EU decide his ultimate fate.
Luke doesn't go down as easy as Windu here.mace windu did not go down easily. agen kolar and sasaee tiin did
With a knowing smile, Obi-Wan style.
Fairly indifferent as to whether he ghosts in bed or battle, mind you.
In a three way with some slave girls.....hey if he's gotta die let him go out happy
He will be at peace no matter how he goes. He's the greatest Jedi of all time.
If they're going to use Mortis in Ep 7.... Then he probably never will!
I want to have Luke Die Hard...with a Vengeance...while Living Free...on a Good Day.
Luke will be fighting ten Sith Lords at the same time. It will be a bigger fight than Kenobi versus Anakin in the Revenge of the Sith. Luke will be dying of old age and he might accidentally die in the battles at the same time. Half of his body will disappear like Kenobi while the other half is burnt & eaten by his kids. Luke will be fighting Sideous, Plagueis, Vader, Anakin, Leia, Han Solo, Bobba Fett, Maul, Mace Windu, & the master of Plagueis, too.
regardless of the nonesense that you usually sprout......WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?
OH MY GOD!
The absolute best way for Master Jedi Luke Skywalker to die is
for a planet to fall on his head
Otherwise I won't watch the movie and leave after 5 minutes.
Lol to be fair most of the Jedi just got shot in the back. He was in a position that afforded him a chance to fight back,
I am partial to the idea that Luke dies quietly, kinda in a Yoda like way, or he goes out in the moreso, perhaps Anakin Solo way in SbS, or perhaps even like, say Vegeta in DragonBall Z.(watch from 4.40)
Seeing someone try and do the latter on the big screen would be damn epic.
I believe that Ki Adi Mundi got a few hits in.
