I gave it an 8. I really liked Cloverfield, but it really freaked me out most of the way through the movie. It was very intense, especially during the subway scene when the little monsters attacked. I think what made it even more unnerving was the fact that there was no music to cue the danger. It was very well put together and very realisic and it was the first monster movie I've ever seen where the monster wins.
I gave it a 6. It was only okay. First off it gave away the fact they all die at the very beginning, making it hard for me to invest any emotions on the characters. It was nicely filmed, not giving me a headache with the hand held cam which was a plus. Not enough info was giving throughout which made me wish the characters were more involved with the goings on then just random folks trying to save a friend.
The monster itself was meh and the parasites unimaginative to me.
The moster was friggin awesome. Best part of the movie was the scenes where it was seen. I loved it. Gave it a 9.
It was a really cool movie. I give it an 8
talk about living up to the hype.
When I got home from seeing it last night, I was feeling like it was a 5/10 at best. But now after thinking about it, I think I'd give it a solid 8. It really was a super movie in many ways, though I think a sequel would help alot, so we could get some more info on the monster.
Btw, they really did a great job with the scare factor as well. It's funny, there weren't that many "jump out of your seat moments", but I still felt tense after it was over. I think it was the fact that they made you feel like the monster was right around the corner constantly.
So yeah, 8.
It's been a while since I've seen this, but I rated this movie a 9...A good movie. I liked it.
