I just wondered as Leia and Luke are both at least 20 and Obi-won has to be at least into his 50's as he is grey haired and all so is it about 20 years time difference?

It's 19 years officially if I remember well. Around 20 yes.

Luke and Leia supposed to be 19, Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi 57, Vader 41.

Although at the time Star Wars/ANH was made (1976), the chronology was way different. Vader and Obi-Wan were originally supposed to be much older (at least in their 70's).

And building speed was very, very slow. 20 years to knock out a DS not that impressive.

You dont remember the big union strike against the Empire a few years after Episode III? An OT deleted scene show them picketing in front of a half built death star and Darth Vader & Tarkin working as scabs to break the Union building the trash compactor and also installing a few bathrooms.
