So, yeah, like the subject line says, I didn't know there was a Bay City Fan Force. I'm kind of embarassed that I didn't know it, but I know now.

And knowing is half the battle! :p

So, anyway, like, what is there to do in the Fan Force? Can someone break down for me what ya'll do that makes . . . well, that involves actually doing something?

No sarcasm here, just honest curiosity.

    Peace out.

    nyar.

we're relatively calm people during the winter months, as there's not a whole lot to do in bay city when it gets cold. when it gets warmer we have semi-regular meetings at our local headquarters which is presently located in my garage.

i have to ask you, john; are you asking this because you're interested in fan forces in general, or because you're interested in our fanforce?

Well, since I live in Standish, you're the closest Fan Force to me. Given that, I'm interested in this one. Gas prices are too high for me to drive to Detroit.

okay then, well, um good deal, nyar.
i'll be sure to light up your PM box the next time we have an official meeting.
since the weather is getting warmer and the days will be getting longer i'd imagine our fanforce will start having more regular and fan-forcey outings.

Just out of curiosity, do any of you folks here have any experience with rotoscoping, 3d animation, or 3d modelling? There's a small project I'm going to be working on over the next few months . . . .

    buliding a lightsabre?
    sounds like a good plan.
but no, none of us are adept at that...
    that i know of anyway.

but if you can find some plans, and know of any machinists(which i'm sure there are in standish) then you should be able to fulfill your plans. and don't worry, your secret is safe with us.

    yah, well...
i'd say that's about as likely as me making a lightsabre fly out of my butt.

Heh. I've been waiting a year and a half for someone to ask me that.

There's this comic book that I read - Poison Elves. It's kind of a D&D meets the 17th Century Europe kind of setting. Very weird. In this series, the only "superhero" in the known world is the Purple Marauder. He . . . he's . . . well, he's nuts. And "Nyar!" is his battle cry.

I know the concept behind rotoscoping, can't say I've ever done it, I think you can do it in the program "after effects" without grueling over every frame. What is this all about, i mean are you doing the whole picture or just an object in frame?

And now for the question you never thought you'd see posted on a Star Wars message board:

Can anybody recommend any good schools for ballroom dancing in the area?

I've recently met several forms of motivation, and well . . . . yeah, I've got to learn what I'm doing on the dancefloor soon.

    nyar.
