    Greetings, Everyone.

I learned about this website / cause / project while at Celebration III in Indy (end of this past April). A person (or persons?) has/have started a website called http://www.thankyougeorge.com . I haven't read into the site much but I think the basic gist of it is that they want to collect "Thank you" notes from fans to present to him. Their goal is to reach 1 million thank you notes before presenting it to him.

Believe it or not, so far, they ONLY have 9,522 notes as of this writing. I can't believe that. I know, no, WE know that there are WAY MORE Star Wars fans out there than that. So, I hope you all will join me in thanking Mr. Lucas for the gift of Star Wars.

I'm sure I will sound hypocritical but I have yet to sign it/contribute a thank you message. I want to draft it up first, not just shoot from the hip. I don't plan to make mine TOO long, though. However, again, I want to encourage all fellow fans (or, in the least, anyone that enjoys/enjoyed the Star Wars films) to join on in.

Feel free to spread the word. I hope EVERYONE will follow the respectful practice of only submitting one message per person. Let's keep this honest. No telling when they will reach 1 million but I am sure it will happen eventually.

May the Force be with us.

    Jay Tee

P.S. I'm hoping to have a "Favorite Links" or "Hot Links" listed on my website (http://www.rebellegionhawaii.com) someday & the Thank You George site will be one of the ones listed.
