Hurricanes are going to the Finals!!!

The Hurricanes are in the Stanley Cup Finals!! That was an nail-biting Game 7. For a while, I thought the 'Canes had lost it but they managed to pull through!


Simply awesome.

 

Yes, yes they are!! I was at the game and it was an awesome atmosphere the whole night. When I left my ears were ringing from all the screaming. When the game ended the lady that sits next to me grabbed me and started jumping up and down!! It was just an awesome game to be at.

Hopefully the 'Canes can take out Edmonton and bring the Stanley Cup to Carolina!!!

Whatta great series! Brindy's game-winner looked like it was slow motion. That puck sat in front of the net for what seemed like a day.

I'd like to take you up on your challenge, personally Tallon, but I don't know of a distinctly Edmontonian dish to offer...

I think I can say I'm probably the only one in our fanforce who's had the pleasure of visiting your beautiful state (a place not too far from Raleigh, in fact). You have some of the most pleasant, polite, hospitable people outside of Canada that I've ever met.

But it's too hot there for y'all to have a hockey team. I mean, yeah, a lot of your 'Canes boys are from Alberta, and they might be well enough acclamated to the heat to give you guys a fighting chance, but why don't you all just pack it up, and let us frozen Canucks take the cup back where it belongs?

 

The Cup needs to come back to Canada.

congratulations on making the playoffs i think i'm still kinda suprised we made it this far, we haven't made it this far in a very long time. we're doing pretty good so far 2-0

The Hurricanes pulled that one out by the skin of their teeth. NPR radio had interviews with team players - no one was pleased with their win under such sloppy play. The Canes better pull together or else we'll get snowballed by the Olilers, they certainly showed poise.

True, we don't really get cold enough here, we average 20's at night and 40's Farenheit in winter months. When it comes to weather and our culture here, two words come to mind - Atlanta lite.

We played much better in this game, and of course it didn't help Edmonton to have to play their back-up goalie.

It's nothing personal, but in the event you guys win game game 5, and then tropical storm Alberto (which is spanish for Alberta ) floods the entire city...

YOU'RE RIGHT!! We DID get walloped by Hurricane Alberto! major streets are underwater - Flooding is everywhere - schools & businesses taking 1/2 day off - even my son's car and his business is closed.
