Some of you are Nova Scotians, I am Alberta/Ontario ---> Nova Scotia, and I like things slow, at times. Like breaks, they can go slowly.

    Hello! :)

It looks like more people use the "Maritimes" forum more than this one, but I'll post here anyway. Anyone going to see ROTS on opening night with other Fan Force folk? :D I'm so excited!

I'm sure there are plenty of fans in Halifax. In fact I know there are as I've seen them on TV when they lined up for TPM. Perhaps they don't know about tf.n.

I'm only in Halifax during the school season. :p I'm going to see ROTS in my local theatre which has yet to put advance tickets on sale!! ARGH!

But, yeah. This isn't much of a Fan Force sadly. ;)

I wish I was at Bayer's Lake right now. Just saw a report on CBC Halifax and looks like everyone's having a fun time. :( No midnight showing for me. :_|

Going to the first showing at Bridgewater though... :D

Woo-hoo! :D That was amazing, wasn't it?! That was my first-ever line up for a movie so that I could be in the very first screening; even for Lord of the Rings I didn't do that. I figured since it was the last Star Wars, why not? I've heard and seen so much about them, what with all the tents and games and all.

I had so much fun! There were a few costumes, too: Vader, Boba, Kit Fisto, the Twi'lek Jedi (her name? and yes, I spelled that wrong ;) ), Greedo, ROTS Anakin, a few Padmes, some Jedi. And a great crowd! I spent a lot of time walking around, just soaking up the atmosphere. I went alone, but a few very nice fellow Star Wars fans were kind enough to save my spot while I walked about, and vice versa. I'll have to post a few pictures up here some time. :)

Hope you all had a great first viewing, or will soon have one. :) That was definately not my last viewing to be sure! :D

Sounds like you had fun. :p

I actually saw something about the lineup at Bayer's Lake on the news. A bunch of guys were camping out. Meh, my theatre wasn't as exciting. A couple of girls (they looked at 14 or something) dressed up, but besides that it was pretty calm. :p

Hey Lembas_Junkie, can you post some of your picks from the Halifax Midnight show?

BTW - I was Kit Fisto - one of our friends made a Boba outfit a few years back and we all sorta said what the heck - we were interviewed by MairiAnna Bachynsky(schwing) of Live at 5 but, sadly, I couldn't see a thing in that helmet. ;(

    (or hear... or breathe...)

    Oh WOW! :D

You'll totally remember me then; I'm the one who came running up to you with my digital camera and asked to take a picture of you and fellow Jedi Aayla Secura! ;)

So I will post them here, if you'd like; may I post the one of you and your friend?

    Lembas :)

Edit: I'll leave the one with you and your friend out, in case one of you doesn't want it up. :) Here are some others, though:

    The first costumes I saw:

The Falcon hanging from the ceiling on our way in:

    Great idea for a T-shirt, I think! ;)

    Hey Lembas_Junkie,

Go right ahead and post all the pictures - that's fine.

I'm married to Aayla Secura so I'm sure she won't mind!

I will try to post some of ours too but the photos are not at my house right now.

That was a really fun time - I went again on Wednesday. If you watch A New Hope now it has a different feel to it. No wonder it's called 'A New Hope' Sheesh!

    Kael

    =)

Wow. I kinda wish I had been in Halifax for the first screening of ROTS. Looks like it would have been fun, though I'm a bit shy so I wouldn't have worn a costume or anything. :p

You have got to be kidding me. I won't let you turn this place into an Empire... besides, talk like that might scare all the n00bs away. :p
