Hyperspace: The Girl Next Door

Curious, I don't pay for Hyperspace and I haven't seen anyone post about the new image on SW.Com. Is that Camie? Maybe a behind the scenes pic?

certainly not interesting enough to warrent it's own thread... but it's cool that it is a pic that never has been seen - or at least not commonly.

 

True enough, however doing a search..believe it or not..there's no ongoing photoreceptor thread. But I suppose that's a confirmation nonetheless.

The caption describes her as the "local beauty" of Anchorhead, and I must say, she is quite attractive.

It's an actress named Koo Stark who appeared in the cantina scene. She later became notorious because after dating a member of the royal family, it was discovered that her acting resume included...

...full frontal nudity.

Koo Stark is being credited as the unseen Camie but...

...she is ALSO credited and SEEN on-screen as one of the exotic looking twins in the cantina.

Are we meant to believe they are one and the same...

...and that in her spare time, Luke's friend hangs around in shady bars?

 

Well, she may have been playing two separate characters. Some people do that. For example, Silas Carson played like 4 characters in TPM.

 

Koo Stark did play Camie in the scene that was cut from ANH.

 

perhaps we should change the name of the thread to more like ****Official Photorecepter Thread**** I believe the originater of this thread is correct, there is none, and this would be a good place for it...

On Hyperspace, there's a section called 'Photoreceptor'. It's a collection of never-before-seen pictures from both the OT and PT. Today's picture was that of a character from a deleted scene named Camie. In the deleted scene, Luke saw the Star Destroyer capture the Blockade Runner from space and ran to tell his friends, including Biggs, in Anchorhead. Camie was one of the friends. Clear things up?

Those exotic looking twins in the cantina are actually Minstral shadow guards that play a role in EU.
One of them is Shada, a later associate of Talon Karrade.

 

I'm amazed the thread has gotten this much attention. If I could change the title of the thread I sure would. But anyhow, yeah I thought they meant Camie when I saw the caption, but without seeing the full image it was impossible to tell. I have the deleted scene from the Behind The Magic CD-Rom so I knew a bit about her because of it. That,and the Radio Drama which expanded her role.

 

I don't think we missed much by them not including that scene in there. It establishes that Luke is the runt of the group I guess, which then gives his eventual status as a Jedi Knight more weight, but it works just as well with him being a lowly farmboy. Although, it would make for a nice tie-in to TPM where we see that Anakin was the runt as well.
