Week or two should be enough long warning time for small meeting.

How many members live in Helsinki and surrounding area?

I live in Helsinki. It seems that I'm the only sw-fan around here. At least all the others that I know of live in somewhere countryside (Kehä III:n ulkopuolella eli susirajan takana, as we say in Finland). ;)

I 'live' inside the Ring III (by about .5Km).

Can't wait to see the EuroCon-pics.

"How hot is it in Finnland at the moment?"

I'm not quite sure, but it's very difficult to go to sleep since the nights are too warm and light.

You get used to it when you live here for your entire life ;)
Dark curtains are good at nights, so the light won't disturb sleeping so badly. But the heat, that's harder to deal with.

We lost about 10'C from our temperature a week ago.
    Strange, but relieving.

We had a heat record in Germany, it's been 40,2°C in 1983 and it seems it's been broken yesterday...
I don't know, where all this is going to end... I'm studying geology and we talk about warmtimes and coldtimes in the past. I learned, that after a warmtime (we are in a warm time, absolutly :p ) there is always a coldtime... I'm really waiting for it :p

And I swear, in December we all will wish for heat again :p

There are limits with that, too. I like -5 to -10 in the winter, -5 preferably.
But those horrible weeks in the midwinter were.. horrible.

Soulmate. Meeeee too! However I have been lazy to study anything on these days. Exactly, during the last year or so. Working is easier. It gives payment to spend with Star Wars and doesn't have to spend countless nights studying for some terrible exams and write more horrible essayees.

Years ago I also did study geology along with other things. It was interesting. Exursions to local mines were great. Kilos of stones on my backpack and finally when I got home, I dumped all those stones into my aquarium. Just to notice they are too sharp for my fishes!

    Human Medicine?
    Wow. I couldn't handle that.
Instead, I begin my IT-studies in less than a week.

I don't know anything about basketball players, so I won't comment on that at all.
And about football (soccer or american fball) I know as much as squirrels know about driving cargo trains.
