Are there Polar Bear sightings in Finland?

 

Everybody knows that polar bears are very common in Finland and often walk in the streets of our capital, Helsinki. They're very dangerous animals, but if you know how to handle them, walking in Helsinki is quite safe.




Heehhheheh. To be honest, there are no polar bears in Finland. It's just quite funny to tell foreigners stories about Finnish polar bears.

 

The only polar bear I've ever seen in person was at the Zoo, and it wasn't very white...it was actually more green because of the chlorine in the water.

 

I haven't seen polar bears ever in any zoo. Or if I have, I don't remember it anymore.

Lucky you, I have never seen one Live. Maybe there's one or a few in the animal museum? As far as I know, there haven't been any PB's in the Helsinki Zoo "Korkeasaari" in my 'life'time.
Does anyone else know better?

 

I think the only polar bears in Finland are in Ranua animal park.
