I'm sorry to hear about this. However, I'm also glad that no one got hurt. You showed considerable courage and intelligence in the situation that we should hope to match if we ever found ourselves in a similar situation. Hopefully, the perpetrator will be caught.

Having free-access to a gun surely is what caused the situation in the first place. Wouldn't the solution be to make guns harder to get so such people can't use them to walk into someone's house and rob them of their money?

Plus a gun is useless in that situation if you don't have it on your person at the time. What would you do, run off to get it and come back? You'd be shot the moment you turned around to run away.

 

Um, you can pick up a biscuit about a thousand times easier, and quicker, and cheaper, off of the street than you can at a gun shop.
