Just 7 days ago the Mableton news website reported an arrest in a daytime home break in. Your story sounds right up their alley. Of course that home invasion was in Cobb county and not Mableton itself, so naturally they'd only be interested in home break ins that didn't take place in their community.

Missouri has the 19th highest level of gun related deaths in the US. Not bad I guess.

But notice the top ten offenders are red states with lax gun control laws. (Excluding DC.) Seven out of the lowest ten states are blue states with tighter laws. There are certain states that defy the norm, for example Vermont. But there is a pattern . . .

This reminds me about 4 years ago my friend came home to find a robber going through his stuff. The dude wasn't armed so my friend picked up a metal bike pump and beat the crap out of the guy as he ran out. I swear. He called me right after and when I got there he was scrubbing blood off the floor. I can't believe I forgot about that.

It is far easier to resist attack from someone who is not armed.

In the UK we hardly have gun trouble, because guns are very difficult for people to get hold of. The only incidents of recent note in the last year have been caused by people having replica guns modified to fire live rounds, that is a problem that can be combatted by restricting the distribution of replica firearms and finding out who is modifying them.

Sure we currently have a big knife problem, because any punk teenager who feels like stabbing someone can easily get a knife if they want. All teenagers having knives won't stop them stabbing each other. It is a more difficult problem to combat seeing as knives are household items and used for everyday things.

 

Also, police officers in the United States shoot people on traffic stops.

Aw, leave Arlon alone . . . when he wants e-attention, he makes vblogs about his trip to the zoo and posts threads about the health status of his pets. In 3 years, he has never before posted about anything really interesting happening to him.
