    He's apparently confirmed to have begun talks for the role.

    I want to be proven wrong, but he seems like a mediocre choice at first glance. Then again, I'm sure MVC3 has instilled a bias towards him having some kind of notable British or Aussie accent leading to thoughts of Statham. And they already gave Rooker a different role...

    Yeah. It would be more stunt casting than anything, just to get another big name on the promotional material.

    I'd much prefer if they get an honest-to-goodness voice artist.

    So is Diesel doing mocap? Because they wrapped shooting last week or so. Was the Groot in that ComicCon footage just a placeholder?

    EDIT: Dang it, that was Djimon Honsou he was talking to, wasn't it? They pulled the wool over my eyes! I guess he was working on it all along.

    The other thing that was released today was the official description of the movie:
    So this doesn't give too many more major details than that which we already knew, but the minor things are interesting. I think that this all but confirms that the object at the centre of Quill's heist is another of the Infinity Stones. As I said when Thor came out here, I think this is still likely to be the Power Stone, giving us three of the Stones in Phase 2.
