Cool trailer. It's awesome to see the hulkbuster armor, and all the others.
Cannot wait to see it. The last 10 seconds of the trailer got me super pumped.
It looks Sweeeeeeet!
YES YES YES YES YES YES
EDIT -- So that gives us a bit of an explanation as to why Banner was leaving with Stark at the end of The Avengers....in this universe, the HB armor was probably Banner's idea.
That International Trailer is basically the same excat trailer, except they inserted two quick shots of Asian cast members in early on, a closeup shot of one of them apparently operating on Stark and that brief "Iron Man is celebrated by China" shot. I assume this is to appeal to the partial Chinese funding the film got to shoot in the country?
Another poster too:
So...uh...why does the Mandarin have Cap's USO helmet?
That, plus the Anarchist-A Shield tattoo.....curiouser and curiouser....
Just noticed he's wearing camo pants and what look like army-grade boots. He's also got a bunch of dog tags hanging around.
Because the Mandarin is obviously Captain America.
It seems to be part of his method: taking symbols like the cap shield and twisting them to adopt them for himself, like adding an anarchy A to it.
Shane Black on The Mandarin:
"Yeah, he has an intelligence background. His nationality is not even clear because he's shrouded in secrecy, but at some point this field officer went nuts and became a student of warfare and ancient Chinese symbology and drew from South American insurgency tactics and has created around himself this little world of warfare. The only unifying principal of which seems to be a hatred of the United States. So he represents every terrorist, in a way. But specifically, he's crafted himself in the manner of the Mandarin, of a warlord. I think that's great, because you get to do the comic book, but you don't have to deal with the specifics of Fu Manchu stereotyping. We're not saying he's Chinese, we're saying that he in fact draws a cloak around him of Chinese symbols and dragons because it represents his obsession with Sun Tzu and various ancient arts of warfare that he has studied. So that's what we like about it."
Heads up: There's a new Iron Man 3 TV spot that just played on the NBC series The Voice.
I wonder if the Mandarin plays the Mandolin?
Three new TV Spots, "Kids Choice Awards", "Mandarin" & "I've Got You" (the latter of which confirms Pepper in the armor):
Okay, spot three was the one that just aired on The Voice.
Meh, that last one is private. This one should work.
Huh. Not sure why I'd be able to access it and not others (I didn't upload it, just did a search).
Yeah, not sure why Todd the Jedi is having trouble with it, I was able to see it too.
Edit: Just clicked on it again. They must have put it into private mode after you posted it.
Well it looks like the Disney copyright machine is at it again nuking every video in sight. ***********
That other video that went private will probably go back to public in a few weeks/months after Disney's nuking spree dies down.
Mark 17 tease:
I kind of expected a bit more silver on Silver Centurion.....
This one should work.
Red coverings over silver instead of gold is the justification, I assume.
What is unique about Iron Man if everyone and their grandpa can jump into one of these robot suits and become a superhero?
