200 a month is something you offer to your parents two years after you graduate college and can't find a job because you were stupid enough to minor in art history with a philosophy minor.

 

I live in a $200-a-month apartment and drive my brand-new $2,500 sedan to the theater so I can give a nickel to the box office attendant for a picture show.

 

Jack, I'd suggest you never visit NYC with hopes of having a place if 2,000 a month is out of your price range, unless you want to share a tiny apartment with 15 of your closest friends.

A. Statements are correct, I live in the Santa Clarita valley but had been going to CSUN in the San Fernando valley. Cuz rent is too darn high.

If you don't mind driving/trying to figure out LA's loltastic public transportation, try up the freeway a bit to Echo Park (just as shady) or Silverlake. Rent's decent up there.

 

$2500 for a sedan? What a rip-off. I'll give you $250.

Prenn - can I ask what organization? The school I worked at when I was down there had close ties with Homeboy Industries, which is kind of an amazing group.

 

I meant when I read "South Central", that's what came to mind.

 

PRENN next thing we need to do now is get you a Disneyland AP.

 

Homeboy Industries! It's a program for at-risk youth and former gang members - helps them get GEDs, jobs, tattoo removal, and general just staying or getting out of trouble. It's a really amazing organization that's been around since the late 80s, I think.
