Phx I bring new gifts to the boards

We are doing a trial run of titles for people who fill special roles in local FF's, but are not the CR. They have asked us to not hand these out to every member, but to keep it to reasonable amounts of titles, but it is a perk for being part of an official FF. But we can't hand them out to everyone, so no "Official Sharpener of the Pencils", or other silliness.

I have added a title to IA, our Co-CR, as well as our official representatives from the Rebel Legion (MJAZ) and the 501st (Kevin).

If you want to see other titles, or other people receive titles, please LMK here or by PM. Please keep the requests and the numbers reasonable. If this is abused/overused, it is quite likely that this trial program will be squashed. Especially by overly twitchy JC folks complaining and/or mods.

It should give you that little bit extra "official-ness" when welcoming new members to the boards.

And it's good to recognize others who have contributed so much to the FF and their respective groups.

I'd say official officer positions too

Treasurer, Charity Officer, Historian, etc...

Affiliated groups are great for noting them.

Then maybe a temporary notation if we have any major events coming up like "Dragon Con Trip Leader", "Christmas Party Planner", or something, then just remove it when we all get back.

 

I'm glad you like it. Although you may need to change your icon now. It looks wrong having a RL title, but an Imperial symbol for your icon.

Please note: I don't want to over use these titles. There isn't a "title-cap" yet, but if we have too many titles, it might get noticed (unfavorably).

But then again, most of our folks only post in FF related areas, so it's not like people in the JCC will complain too much.

Like I said above, this is a limited time trial thing. If it is abused, then it goes away. I will not abuse this new feature, even if it means missing the opportunity to abuse our local Dewback Pooper Scooper .

There are thousands upon thousands upon thousands of people at the JC, and if they see "normal" members getting titles, then they ALL are going to want one. And since this has to be done by managers and Admins, that would be a lot of valuable time wasted.

Not that normal people aren't special, but these titles are reserved to give "special" attention to people in official roles, or who have made signifigant contribution. If you want to give yourself a title, put it in your sig. Sorry, but I gotta stick to the hard line on this. Thanks for your cooperation.
