There's not a lot on their website right now (it appears they're in the process of reworking it), but there is a link to look at the last print newsletter, and that has the guest list.

I know Peter Mayhew is coming, and Jason Carter (from B5 and our sidebar!) is also confirmed.

I would like to meet Rockne O'Bannon. I just don't know if I'd simply thank him for 4 years of Farscape or threaten his life if he didn't get the show back on the aire. LOL!

 

Sure, they have good guests this year when I can't go. Try to have extra fun without me and Ken this year, kids.

 

So who's going?? It'll be a working weekend for me but I'll still be around. Just some panels I sort of have to attend so it can't just be hanging around all day for me.

 

I'll be at the Masquerade no matter what, but hopefully I'll be there in my new Jedi threads.

 

I might stop by for a little bit and hang with you guys. Especially since I live not too far away now

 

Does anyone think Peter Mayhew and Orli Shoshan will have photos of their SW characters for sale for signing, or should we acquire such things beforehand?

 

I might go to hang out. It's a tough call at this point since C3 is so close to that.

I think it's a safe bet that they'll have official photos to sign, and they'll probably sign something you have if you asked them....you're probably going to pay the same amount anyway.

 

Celebs always have stuff to sell.

When is the masquerade party?? And do you HAVE to go in costume because I don't plan on bringing one.

 

Masquerade is from 10PM until 2AM at the Holiday Inn, Ronkonkoma. I do not think costumes are required to attend. I think they are only required if you want to compete in the contest.

 

Do we need a con ticket to get into the masquerade? Will and I can;t really afford to spend $80 right now. Is the costume contest during the masquerade?

 

Yeah, what's the admission price to the Masquerade? Do you need a con badge or do you have to pay a separate fee?

 

As far as I can tell from the ICON website, there is no admission fee for Masquerade but you need a con membership badge. I've sent an email asking if there's a way to get Masquerade entrance without a con membership. I'll post here as soon as they reply.

EDIT: To answer Kris' question, yes, the Masquerade includes the costume contest. AeroSith will be playing after the cosplay demonstration and before the judges announce the winners.

I got a reply from the I-CON folks (surprisingly quickly!). Unfortunately, they don't have any way to accept payment at the Masquerade. Basically that means you'll have to have a con badge to get into Masquerade. If you're really interested in getting into just Masquerade for cheap, send me a PM and I'll see what we can do.

 

Well, that's alright for me, since I did want to hang out with you guys Saturday anyway...but I'll talk to Zippy today about getting that discount he's offering.
