I Dare You...

...all of you!

I dare you to do one or both of the following things:

1. Take some time whenever you're on the boards to visit an unfamiliar era to read and reply to at least one fic. It can be a songfic, viggie, short story, or epic... just one. That's it.

2. Write and post a fic in an unfamiliar era. Again, it can be as long or short as you wish.


So, what're you waiting for?

Looks like I'm headed to before for some Obi-siri or Qui and Dook.

 

This is a great idea, Myri! Especially if it's an era that doesn't get a lot of readers (ie, KotOR). Definitely go for this one!

Maybe my Padawan will venture into the Before! Although if she does that, I'll have to post a Jaina/ Jag!

 

I guess that means I'll be venturing into "Before", the era of SW I deal with least. I'll reply to something, but I can't accurately characterize characters I know so little about. Although, writing the rise of the Hapan Consortium would be fun . . . as would doing something with a character I'm familiar with, such as Yoda.

I've actually written Qui-Gon, and posted the first part on the Before board

Now I just hope that Qui-Gon fans won't kill me for poor characterization....

 

Well, I'm unfamiliar with reviewing LP's Qui-Gon fics in Before, so there we go...

 

Ishtar: I haven't read...um...Mara/Anakin romance, but I don't think that exists.

Yeah. Well, I"m trying to figure something out because pretty much the only genre/era I haven't done is dark mara/luke romance and darkluke/mara is sooooooooooooooo the current trend.

 

So, what do we do once we've done it? I went over and lurked through a story in Beyond...

 

Okay, read a story (LP's), but I plan on reading a couple more (short on time... ).

Will start a viggie for a different era soon. (Long fics are not my strong point. )

 

I read and replied to a KOTOR viggie in Before; I daresay that's the first fic I've read in there.

I don't know if it counts, 'cause it was written by one of my favorite authors, but it's a start.

Will write a Before or Saga fic once my muse starts cooperating with me again - I think I better post on my story in Beyond before I start something new, but I'll try to get to it.

 

I've read several short fics in Before... Saga's next. I think my Master wants me to read her fic.

I'm currently trying to find a Before plot bunny... I have plenty for Saga, but since I'm hosting it, I don't want to do them just yet.

Anyone have a bunny they want to get rid of?

I have started A Fool's Hope in response to the write a fic in a style you haven't before challenge. I've never written a dark!mara romance, much less one that starts out with the Alliance having lost at Endor.
