A/V SOLO: A Star Wars Story (untagged spoilers allowed)

I would love some Hutts in this. Wouldn't have to be Jabba but I'd like to see another Hutt.

There's a lot of awesome legends characters that could potentially show up in this film. Or a Lando film. Some people already mentioned Jaxxon, which I think could be either really cool or really bad. There also was that guy with like porcupine quills from the same comics. Or that old guy Don-Wan.

 

The archetype of the Quixotic Jedi wannabe is actually quite interesting.

 

Where's the love for Mako Spince? Fiolla of Lorrd? Shug Ninx? Salla Zend? Roa? Ana Blue? Doc Vandangante? Jarik Solo? Trooper Badure? ZZ-4Z? Katya M'buele? Xaverri?

Man, smuggler Han had the best supporting cast.

BTW, GALLANDRO FOR VILLAIN OR GTFO.

 

I'd be extremely glad to see a canonized version of any of those. But for the time being, I'm still anxious that Han's Imperial past may not have survived, so I doubt his "mentor character" would be someone like Badure.
(If memory serves me right, A.C. Crispin once stated that Han being raised by a roving gang of thieves came directly from Lucas, so maybe that'll stay?)

Exactly, so many to choose from. Even some of the new characters, like the cat clones or Chanath Cha from the Lando comic. I haven't read the Solo comic series yet but there may be some good new characters in that.

 

We are not good enough for Bollux and Blue Max.

 

I am hoping for stories like the Brian Daley Han Solo novels. Give us somewhat of a Raiders of The Lost Ark feel as well....not so much the Holy Relic stuff...but the old school action and adventure stuff.

 

I think the most interesting question yet to be answered about the film is whether it'll be an adventure story -- just oriented around telling a Han Solo story that's fun and entertaining -- or if it's going to try to be an event story. A story that's about some specific thing. The story of how Han met Chewie, or how Han met Lando, or how Han met Maz Kanata, or how Han won the Falcon, or how Han came to work for Jabba, or how Han came to be a smuggler, or how Han and Lando broke up . . . or, God help us, about all of them at once.

 

I think it's going to be very hard for them to resist doing some "event" with Lando, since he's in the movie.

 

You forgot about Han making the Kessel Run and Lando's little maneuver at the Battle of Taanab. This is going to be one long movie

 

Knowing Kasdan, for every existing backstory detail the movie portrays it'll throw in three new ones.

 

The Hutt clan shown in TCW is really cool. If we could see them in live action and in a Han Solo movie, it would be really cool.
