FF:NSW I hate ATOC already!

Here's an interesting little quote from a spoiler free review I've just read. I watched the trailers and I have to admit that I had a little *phew* moment when I saw this.

I can understand someone not wanting to be spoiled. I remember being online in IRC when TPM came out and some American git was running around to all the channels telling everyone that Darth Maul gets cut in half... of course, I didn't know if it was true, tho i figured it was, but later when I saw the movie I got right p'd off.

But I think it's going a bit far to say there's no point going to see the movie now that you know what's going to happen.

If that's the case, I might as well forget seeing E2, the other Lord of the Rings movies, and Return of the Jedi on Sunday night...

Yes, it does spoil the fun, but I think there's more to enjoying a movie than knowing what happens next. Otherwise, I wouldn't own half a dozen copies of the SW movies, I wouldn't have gone back to see LOTR or Moulin Rouge five times (Hey! Don't judge me! It's Nicole Kidman! Woof woof!).

You go and see it because for 2 1/2 hours, you exist long long ago, in a galaxy far, far away ...

Well, that's why I do, anyway.


Of course, having said that, I'm going spoiler free for episode three. I don't know if I'll get p'd for someone spoiling me - probably a bit fnah'd - but I know I'll be sitting there for 2 1/2 hours with a big box of popcorn and my eyes stapled open so I don't miss anything.

But that's probably just me ...

 

I feel your pain, Linda. Though you can take heart in the fact that it is a 2 hour movie and it's going to be 2 damn cool hours!

I cant wait to see ATOC but ive got a feeling it will go by so quickly and then I will want to see it again. It's a shame they dont have 2:30am sessions as well on the 16th
