He could root for a 0-0 tie with every player fouling out of every game.

...I didn't say that was a likely scenario or anything :p

So how does it feel to be reigning World Champion two short years later?

At least Inty will only have to worry about ONE Boston team being a world champion this June.

Hey, it worked! But it definitely means I'll be rooting for the West in the Finals...

McClain ... you're right. I might have a divorce from the NHL, and I might only watch games where the cup is in the building now, but it sure is nice to see a Boston team giving up a 3-0 series lead and a 3-0 lead in a deciding game.

And, the Crew did beat the Revolution last week, so I suppose I should take what I can get.

And, as to Tunick's question .... I would root for the Lakers. But, to be specific, I'd want Kobe to have a horrible series, D-Fish to expose the heck out of Rondo, and put up like 50/10/25 numbers an win the MVP in a sweep. OH, and at least two Celtics to get arrested and/or suspended for PEDs.

D-Fish, hopefully, will have some clutch shots in that theoretical Finals, but exposing Rondo? Nah. I would love to see Artest on Rajon, see how he responds to a tough defender.

Bitterness will get you nowhere, Inty. I understand you're frustrated but rooting for the Fakers? Gross. Just root for neither.

I have mixed emotions about this thread. Great that Boston sports are so successful, though sad people seem to hate them.

I hate that Boston has me seriously contemplating rooting for the Lakers.

The Celtics almost make me want to pull for LA... and the Lakers almost make me want to pull for Boston.

    I'm in trouble.

Inty, if you're serious about rooting for the Lakers, then you probably should root for the Celtics. Frankly, we need as little of that Cleveland stink on us as possible. And every liitle bit that the Celtics have on them is just that much better for us. ;)

just want to point out that thanks to last night, we have the potential of seeing two Boston teams blow 3-0 leads in the same year. And as much as I hate the Magic, I almost have to pul for that.

Well ... it didn't happen. Nor did my first hope for that series, that the earth would open up and swallow both teams whole.

    *sigh*

Inty, I was in the same boat as you. But then I realized...it's the Lakers. You CANNOT cheer for the Lakers. I mean...seriously, Kobe?! I understand the pain of this situation. It's a matter of picking the lesser of two evils [if that's even a possibility here]. Here's to wishing the worst for both teams, but not wanting Kobe to walk away with the win.

Who has been in some awesome puppet commercials.

Boston Hate is WAY larger than Kobe/LA hate. I mean ... I don't have any reason to hate LA outside of potential Laker hate. I mean ... the Dodgers TRADED for Casey Blake.

Hey now, Blake has been good for the Dodgers! Plus, his beard (when he has it) is awesome.:D

Oh god. Why do you have Casey?! WHY?! He was one of my favorites :( I thought he was a great player and he's such a nice guy. The universe hates me. You don't deserve his glory.
