for x-mas from my wife i get the beutifull 3 day pass for this wonderfull convention but... how wonderfull indeed? now dont get me wrong i love star wars and am a very big fan, read the books (some at least)but my wife isnt that big of a fan... she watches them and stays up with the latest news from me of course....but will she be abel to stand 3 full days of this show? will i be able to stand 3 full days of this thing... i hope so but then again i dont know whats going to be there.... i know there are going to be props there, speakers/guests there, but will it be able to take up 3 full days? this question is going out to the people that went to the last one and had the 3 day pass.... did u get tired of it or were u wanting more time when it was all over?

p.s. sorry if this post kinda rambles and makes no sence but its 4am in the morning and im tired :)

Well, if your wife gets bored, there is a mall, movie theatre, 2 museums, and a zoo all within walking distance from ICC. But I don't think you, if you're a Star wars fan, will get bored. :)

The zoo's at the end of a beautiful walking tour...from the back of the ICC, north a block, you'll come to the new Indiana State Mueseum (which may not be completed by then), the Eitlejorg Western/Native American Art Museum, the NCAA Headquarters/Hall of Champions Museum, the IMAX theater, then you cross a bridge and you're in the Zoo parking lot...its about a 20 minute stroll down the Canel, if you don't stop for anything. I wouldn't waste my money on a cab.

My wife and I did the whole Canal tour, and without going into the Eitlejorg and walking to, but not going into the zoo, we spent a good half checking out the sights and an IMax movie. Forgot that you've also got the National Medal of Honor Memorial and the USS Indianapolis Memorial on the canal as well.

it's not that far. I would say under a mile. And considering along the way is: The Eiteljorg Museum for Native American artifacts and art, the brand spanking new Indiana State Museum (which is slated to be open by then I think), the NCAA headquarters and Hall of Fame, and the White River Gardens...I think it would lessen the walk.

If you're going by the official address of ICC, which is at Capitol and Maryland, yeah it's a bit of a walk.. But if you're staying at say Courtyard by Mariott, it would be about 5-6 blocks, plus a lovely canal walk for most of the journey. It's very scenic.

ICC stretches for about 3 blocks by the way. The official address is on the far east side of the building. Courtyard Mariott is on the far west side of the building :)
