I have decided that our user names look ugly. Can you change the background color?

Moderators and other special people get colors, who don?t have to look at the ugly color clashing happening with our grayish user names against this navy header, let me tell you something: it?s ugly. It?s ugly in a way that only industrial parks and coal power plants can be ugly. Please change the colors of our user names into something that doesn?t look like something a drunken cat dragged in. That may mean changing the bar up top so that contrast is happening and our names are visible. If so, then so be it.

Well, obviously most people don?t want a change. I?m locking this. If anyone has a decent reason why they want it reopened, just PM me or another moderator.

 

It's better than the alternative; an unreadable black letters against the navy background. Not nice.

While I don't think it's the most beautiful color combination, I don't think it clashes either

 

I'm saying that if necessary, we should change the navy too. Come on, we've got a title bar that's mostly brown and grey, with neon blue and purple sabers. Navy just isn't the color these boards need - in fact, I think that the boards might even look a little fat navy.

Is that what you do with ugly things? Make fun of them and try to change them? Why not accept them for what they are.

And, for the record, assuming there is one, I have no problems with the colors. Possibly because I don't know what color anything is.

Jon_Snow, I'm not sure if you're aware or not but the current color scheme for the boards was implemented not too long ago. We were in a burgundy/gray scheme and then we changed to this.

 

Not a bad idea, Hama. We'll all be rectangles, nothing to differentiate ourselves apart then

Seriously, Jon_Snow, this issue about the colour of usernames was discussed when we got our new colour scheme. It is certainly a better colour than some of the previous ones implemented. In fact, these colours for usernames was specially requested to remain, as it had been used before the new colour scheme came in.

So I guess quite a lot of us are actually happy with it.

 

I've talked with Zerosleep, and I even dipped into my own savings account to front the money for IGN in order to authorize Zerosleep to work on the coding....here's what he came back with: Click on your username, Adjust the color tint on your monitor...and waa-laa!...new username colors to your liking.

I wish I had those kind of programmnig skillz. *sigh*
