JCC I have now been posting here for 1,000 likes.

It feels like a lifetime ago that I decided one day to register to these boards. Since then, we've shared a great deal. There have been ups, and there have been downs, but all of it has made me into the person that I am today--a person with 1,000 likes.

Sure, things got off to a slow start. Many of you dismissed me as an annoying n00b or some kind of troll. Many of you didn't think I could do it. But thanks to my winsome and hilarious posting, I proved many of you wrong, and now I have 1,000 likes.

I can't take all of the credit, of course. Although many of my posts should be liked, it doesn't mean that they will be, and for that I need other people. People like pronker, who gave me my first like ever for stating a simple fact about Agents of Shield, or Jabba-wocky, who, although he has never liked a single one of my posts--despite numerous interactions in several threads--and is generally an awful person, has made it possible for others to like the posts I make in response to his horrible posting.

I'd like to give a special shoutout to Ender Sai who likes almost every single post that I make, so long as that post involves talking down to others or otherwise being in some way belligerent, which is most of them. I don't like to think of myself as a bad person, but every like from you is like a little reminder that I am, actually.

Anyway, I'm sure there are many more people to list, and if I could do something like sort people by how many likes they've given me, I'd do that but there is no such feature. Instead, I will just say you're welcome to everyone for my insightful, funny, heartwarming posts, and I hope I can keep it up for many more months to come.

You have made nice posts before. I just don't believe in the "liking" system as it degrades our communal atmosphere. The appropriate way to appreciate a post is to say so directly and accompany it with an explanation, or if you must to use one of the pre-approved expressions like "QMAOFT" or "NIAWYC."
