This quote has great relevance when seen with ROTJ. Vader DOES love his son, though he cannot show it. When the Emperor is killing Luke, Vader realizes that Sidious lied to Anakin all along. Palpatine is doing absolutely NOTHING to help Anakin save the one he loves. Vader also knows that Luke only wants to help, since he does nothing to show otherwise in the movie.

To me tbat quote from Sith adds sooo much to when ANAKIN throws Sidious down that shaft.

    thoughts?

It's ironic that Anakin saves Sidious in ROTS for the same reason that he kills him in ROTJ: to save the one he loves.

    Very good observation.

Anakin/Vader always knew the Sith were all about lies, however, since the dark side consumed him, he lost his way, but his son redeemed him. And as you said, he remembered about the lies of the Sith and saw that the Emperor was destroying his loved ones.

I think the Dark Side clouded Vaders judgement, personally I think Vader only realized who the Emperor was until the Emperor was trying to kill his son.
