Shouldn't you check out the game *before* you buy it? :p

I heard it was okay. A bit boring and predictable in parts though. There's also a very unstable learning curve from what I heard, i.e. some fights are rediculously hard and others a complete breeze.

I tend to keep things equal, but for the moves, I usually walk around in circles to fight more battles to gain more experience. My characters are hitting level 80 atm.

It all depends...Do you like RPGs? Do you like the LOTR books/DVDs?
If you like finding "Secret" items and hiden movie clips frome LOTR
Then you might enjoy this game...But you can`t make any choises in the game you yust
follow the storie and deside if you want to do all the quests or not...
One thing if you do not complete all the quests in one area there is a good chance
that you will never be abel to try again in that play throug...Whitch means that you
might lose some film clips or armor...The game was OK for me I`ve played through it
twice...Playing as the Balrog in Evil Mode was`nt bad...It`s an OK RPG but I feel it
might have been better as a hack`n slash...Then again maybe not... I enjoyed playing it but now that I`ve played trough it twice...Well maybe I`l play it
again in a year or two

Not to be mean but I have to be blunt....

....Didn't you just say that you rented the game? So why not just play it and see for yourself of the game is good or not?

Lol, its just like me buying a 20K car and then going on the internet and asking "Is it a fun car to drive?" or "How is the handling?"

    Lol

    ...ok...did you buy or rent?

And why aren't you playing it and finding out for yourself if it's a good or bad game??

I believe I told you before that this was a Final-Fantasy-type, RPG (teh suck), involving none of the characters from the Fellowship, but rather some lame-o copycats. The moment I heard these very important things baout the game, I decided to not even give it a try with a rental, let alone buy it.

Before you buy or rent a game, look for reviews. Go to GameSpy or IGN, since these guys are rarely wrong (or at least less biased than other sites). You might just save yourself some money that way.

I wasn't going to get it, but then I vaguely remembered a lot of people on this forum gushing about it, so I thought I'd get it.

So far it's been okay. I'm just wondering if the story between the characters and stuff is good.

    Going by reviews stink

I learned that with Advent Rising [face_dancing]. Then again I did NOT read any of the reviews just read what was being said here but still :p

    YES!!! :D

Don't trust "The Man" on Advent Valyn, stand on your own two feet man! ;)

One of my favorite action games of the year along with Devil May Cry 3.

Make sure you get the PC version though, as it's only $30 and fixes a lot of the problems the reviewers trashed the Xbox version on.

I don't see how Third Age can even be labeled as a bad game. I mean is it a KOTOR? No, but its a nice spin on the LOTR saga and I would refer it to anyone who is a fan of Lord of the Rings.

I bought the GC Version for $10 New, but my tiny black memory card is full so I can't save my progress.

...As an experienced gamer I feel it my duty to give you Ramses85 some
unholy advice...DELETE SOME USELES OLD SAVES!:p
The game is not the best game I`ve ever played but it is a
    decent game.
