I just got the DSII LS starter and....

    It's very playable as-is, the only way to really improve upon it is if you nab additional unique fighters and their matching pilots to replace some of the generic fighters in the deck.

    Also, you could swap out characters and weapons for more power. If I remember, the starter deck does not come with X-Wing Cannons ... that would be a good card to swap in, for example. Swap some Blaster Rifles for Disruptor Pistols or Stun Blasters ... things like that.
