I've just got in from seeing an advance screening of EP3.

It was freakin' beautiful. It is the keystone episode - very plausible in both content and execution.

I swear, during the darkest, heaviest scenes, tears were shed in the audience.

I'll be writing up my opinion for SWNZ shortly (will separate spoilers from non-spoiler sections).

    Darkest...Movie....Ever.

If you thought Empire was nasty........phwoah.

Dr Maul, you catch the screening in AK this avo?

I'm damn near speechless. There's nothing to say except that everything is rounded up nicely, with a few wee surprises.

11 days of pain to see it again :_|

Why the hell have i forked out $51 for bragging rights to see it first, when it's been seen already?

    I'm angry, and poorer. :p

Jealousy, anger, hate all lead to the dark-side.

Be mindful my young apprentice your $51 will be well worth it...

I'm rushing to finish reading the novel, but it's just not the same. So hurry up and start telling us more :D

Knowing there are people who have seen it already, suddenly the wait until the 16th seems so much longer....

Well, I propose so that no one gets offended by spoilers, a q&a session.

I'll say this, I'm having feelings of rating it above Empire upon the few hours of reflection I've had.

Those that have seen Clone Wars wil have a better idea of what might happen, and also in regards to Grievous. Man, he's creepy, adding to the already very dark atmosphere.

The pacing of the film is pretty fast, alot happens in the space of 2 and a half hours.

Still 11 days to go :(

    > I'm rushing to finish reading the novel, but it's just not the same.

Despite having read the novel, I didn't find myself looking ahead to what was expected next. It was only possible to focus on that which was in front of your eyes at any point in time. There's so much in the novel that isn't in the movie, and vice-versa - they definitely complement each other well.

Anyway, as promised, I've put my review up on SWNZ (direct link), for those interested. Spoilers are safely separated from general impressions.

*eyes narrow* Mind you I've have my share of advance screenings/performances anyway.

Besides, there were test audiences and all sorts before anyway...

    *cries*

I suppose we can comfort ourselves that the press will be at the "premiere" and we can possibly catch ourselves on tv... maybe....

Sounds like it will be a good one then.

I checked Borders on Wednesday. I guess I should have looked somewhere other than the Star Wars section ...

I also typed 'Revenge of the Sith' into their book finder, and got nothing but special order titles.

Ah well, I'll find it one day.

Feels good to have others that have seen it now, can I assume you all thought it much darker than any other star wars??

How about Sammy J, hot damn.

Well, look forward to see the comments roll in.

That was awesome :D It is quite a dark movie, some interesting scenes in there, so hard to take everything in. I loved the lightsaber duels - the look in Anakin's eyes.. can't wait to see it again!

The final scene of him & Obi-Wan, while Obi-Wan stands over watchign him, has to be the darkest, most powerful scene. You see Anakin so struggling, its like his eyes are on fire(same coloring as Darth Mauls, red with yellow).

He so badly wants to kill Obi-Wan.

    In short, amazing.

Its #2 behind Empire, very very closely behind Empire.
