My Valentine's Day Poem

You who but of gentle breath,
Doth grant me my juvenile diversions,
Of that which entrapped my will,
When I was but part of another than I am.

Desire conquered me,
Love follows and in it, I am seduced.
A hope, a passion, flatters and reassures me
And from this longing, another blossoming sweet springs.

I am claimed by sweet envy,
To lips granted of divinity,
Besmeared upon my heart by green eyes,
So tinted and awaiting thy blessed embrace.

O, a fool to fortune I am,
Nemesis to my heart!
Why did I not see? Why hath you come so late?
Why was I not in time?
