Likewise. never got the appeal-most porn looks like people well, doing their jobs :p

As for me..Aliens. Don't think it's a very good sequel-I do think it's a satisfying movie, but a sequel to Alien in style and tone it is not.

2001. I can't bring myself to agree with the consensus on how great of a science fiction movie it is. I had similar feelings when some critics were calling The Tree of Life the new 2001.

DarthBoba reminds me: Alien. Not a bad movie, but I don't think it's the terrifying horror classic many praise it to be.

I agree with Rogue1-and-a-half (once again) about The Wizard of Oz. I had never seen it until last November, and I still don't get what all the fuss was. The songs are dreary, it's not the first film to use color (The Crimson Pirate got there first), the actor who plays the cowardly lion is unbearable, and it's semi-creepy that Judy Garland was playing a pre-teen. There were some positive aspects: Margaret Hamilton is scenery chewing at its finest, and it's not very long. I sincerely wish they make a version that actually follows the book. I liked Return to Oz a lot more mainly because it's demented nightmare fuel.

I don't like Wizard of Oz either. Dorothy Gale gets on my nerves as much as any fictional character in existence.

I also agree about Star Trek. I tried to get into it but couldn't.

Porn: the closest I've come to liking porn was watching Ewan McGregor in The Pillow Book (and that's not even my favorite film of his). While I like a good still image of a nice-looking man, I don't really get the appeal of watching a video of someone else getting all the action.

Dr. Who. I've watched the first two seasonsa and part of the third (aka I gave it a good shot while they switched around doctros and companions), but I never understood the appeal. I think I liked two episodes.

Children of Men. Such a bad movie. In every way imaginable. Yet everyone loves it. idgi

Heroes. Although everyone seems to hate the later seasons, I thought the first season was pretty terrible too. The actress who plays the cheerleader is a giant hole in the screen, and Hiro is so goddamned annoying with his excessive whimsiness. The actor who plays Nathan Patrelie (the guy who can absorb other powers) is like a modern-day William Shatner. Zachary Quinto is the only saving grace.

and obviously the Beatles are terrible. I assume everyone buys their albums ironically. Like renting a Nicholas Cage movie.

Yes, the Cowardly Lion is absolutely one of the most annoying characters in film history. That King of the Forest song is . . . well, it should be illegal under the Geneva Convention. I love the song Over the Rainbow and think Garland actually does a really good delivery/performance in that one scene. And Margaret Hamilton does admittedly get a few laughs ("What a world what a world!"), but by and large, I find it pretty annoying. The munchkins: also really annoying.

Winter's Bone. Great performances, but it drags like a sack of potatoes. It's dreary and there's so little to it. Didn't care for it.

Titanic. I don't get why people fawn over it so much.

I can't seem to get into new Who. But that's partly because I feel that I first need to increase my less than perfect coverage of old Who, and partly because I haven't been overly impressed by the few episodes of new Who I've seen, and partly because I'm still extremely pissed that the show was killed off at the peak of my fandom.

Ugh I hated the munchkins. One of the creepiest scenes in all of movie history is the "lollipop guild" song that goes on for much too long. Yeah and King of the Forest was so randomly placed too. I have no idea why they had to include that song.
Okay I'm gonna stop sipping from my Haterrade now.

    Oh, we're on food now?

I hate mayonnaise. When I was a kid, I couldn't even be in the same room with an open jar of the stuff. People who like it, tell me it doesn't have a smell. Bull****, it stinks.

I always get asked, "How do you eat chicken salad? Tuna salad? Waldorf salad?" Simple: I don't.

It's a regional thing here during the summer to eat fresh local tomatoes on sandwiches with Duke's mayo. I eat my sliced tomatoes on bread with cheddar cheese and butter.

Tomato sauce is OK as long as it's filled with sugar and salt. If it actually tastes like tomatoes, then it's nasty. Likewise, ketchup is good, tomato paste is bad.

Porn: I still enjoy it, though not nearly as much as I did when I was a teenager. The solution to some dude's junk in your face? No dudes.

Music: I've always loved to sing and dance, I grew up enjoying music class and Disney movies and I heard all kinds of music growing up. I like it, I really do. I'm just not passionate about it, I have little interest in "keeping up" on it. I basically stopped listening to current music back in 2004. People often ask if I've been living under a rock, as I have a remarkable ability to not pay attention to whatever people are listening to/watching. I never even heard of Lady Gaga until Cartman did it. I had no idea who Katy Perry was until 2010 I think. I now think Katy Perry's music is the greatest ever. The Beatles? Never even tried to listen to them.

Mayonnaise? Hate it. Yes it does smell and it's basically all fat. Know what smells worse? Egg salad. Can't stand it, makes me want to vomit.

Not a fan of tomatoes either, get the hell off my food.

I'm trying to think of something new for this thread, but I just don't know what people like, because I don't care.

Also, isn't this very similar to shelf of shame?

Harry Potter (the books and the movies). I tried, I really tried. I just can't stand Harry and Ron. The both rely on Hermionie to get everything done for the majority of the series. It's only the in the climax of each book that Harry ever actually does stuff on his own. Ron is just horrible. Before Ron, I had never actually wanted to punch a fictional character in the face before. And that's just scratching the surface of my Harry Potter hate.
