I've been doing a little comparison between the UK/Western Star Wars Fact Files releases and the ones available in Japan see here for more details. But a few names have come up that have left me stumped, so I'm throwing them out to the floor, impress me with your knowledge of Star Wars, or just your ability to use a search engine!!!

Who or what is SAMUEL THOMAS GILLESPEE?

    What are TROIGS?

    Who is LABRIA?

Does anyone have any knowledge of HUTT ARITHMETIC?

    What are MILLAFLOWERS?

    Who is 'JIX' JIXTON?

What is a MAGWIT'S MYSTIFYING HOOP?

Where is the VERGESSO ASTEROID FIELD?

    Where is CEREA?

    What is a CONNER NET?

    Who are the COLICOIDS?

    Where is AQUARIS?

    What is DELTA SOURCE?

And finally who is FRIJA TORLOCK?

Hope some of you can help me, look out for further questions as I find them.

Many of these baffled me too . . .

    Who is LABRIA?
I think he's the Devaronian in the Mos Eisley Cantina in ANH.

    What is DELTA SOURCE?
The plants that spied on the NR in the Thrawn Trilogy.

EDIT: Oh, and the Mystifying Hoop thing is some sort of teleporter.

Well, here is what I found:

Samuel Thomas Gillespee - A smuggler, he retired from the trade to set up house on the planet Ukio. When Grand Admiral Thrawn took control of the world, STG left in search of a smuggling operation willing to
employ him and his men. He signed on with Talon Karrde to indirectly - and for a profit - help the New Republic against the Empire. His ship was the Kern's Pride. ('The Last Command')

Labria - name adopted by Kardue'sai'Malloc, the Butcher of Montellian Serat. ('Tales of the Bounty Hunters', 'Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina')

Magwit's Mystefying Hoop - Teleportation device used by the magician Magwit in the comic 'Boba Fett: Bounty on Bar-kooda'. The story is also found in the 'Boba Fett: Death,Lies, and Treachery' GN.

Aquaris - water-covered world aligned with the Rebel Alliance, and home to Silver Fyre and her Freeholders.('Classic Star Wars' comics)

Delta Source - spy system of ch'hala trees set up in the Imperial Palace on Coruscant by the Emperor. ('Dark Force Rising','Heir to the Empire', 'The Last Command')

Frija Torlock - Daughter of Governor Torlock of Corulag who worked with Admiral Droon to frame her father so they could take control of the planet. ('Shadow Stalker' comic)

Note - most of the information is from 'A Guide to the Star Wars Universe' 3rd Edition. The Magwit info is from the GN itself.

    Possible spoilers below;

Who or what is SAMUEL THOMAS GILLESPEE?

I remember the name from somewhere, but cannot place it.

    What are TROIGS?

    No idea!

    Who is LABRIA?

Character from the cantina, is really a war criminal travelling under another name. Enjoys good music and strong drink.

Does anyone have any knowledge of HUTT ARITHMETIC?

They count in base eight, rather than in base ten. Has helped them to swindle many people.

    What are MILLAFLOWERS?

    No idea.

    Who is 'JIX' JIXTON?

Undercover agent for Darth Vader, infiltrated the swoop gang sent by Xizor to find/kill Luke Skywalker in the Shadows of the Empire story. His job was to protect Luke.

Originally an Imperial Gunnery Sargent, he saw Vader without his helmet when Vader was injured. Jix rescued Vader and offered to work for him. The deal was simple. Jix would deal with "Black Ops" and Vader would not slag his homeplanet.

What is a MAGWIT'S MYSTIFYING HOOP?

A tool employed by a magician called Magwit to move from one location to another as if by magic. Boba Fett used it on a hunt.

Where is the VERGESSO ASTEROID FIELD?

    No idea

    Where is CEREA?

I do not know the location, but it is the planet that Ki Adi Mundi (the conehead) is from.

    What is a CONNER NET?

Like the Inter Net, but run by some guy called Conner ?!?!

    Who are the COLICOIDS?

Weopens designers responsible for the Droideka.

    Where is AQUARIS?

    No idea.

    What is DELTA SOURCE?

Some trees in the imperial palace that could transmit information to Admiral Thrawns forces.

And finally who is FRIJA TORLOCK?

Governer Torlocks daughter, was rescued by Jix on a mission. I think/hope she is still single!!! :)

    Hope this helps,

    V.

VERGESSO ASTEROIDS: located on the Outer Rim, near Alzoc III

CONNER NET: a starship capture weapon, it is literally a net that can wrap itself around a ship. I believe it is also ionised to disable the vessel at the same time.

I was not referring to Linda Boreman's ummmmm... "extended how-to video."

I was referring to the individual identified as "Deep Throat" (incidently named after the above-mentioned Linda Boreman "extended how-to video") by Woodward and Bernstein who was crucial to bringing down Nixon during the Watergate scandal whose identity is possibly Mark Felt, Charles Bates, L. Patrick Gray, Robert Kunkel, Henry Kissinger, David Gergen, Pat Buchanan, Ron Zeigler or Leonard Garment and whose identity is most definitely not Al Haig, Earl Silbert, John Sears, William Colby, Diane Sawyer or Cord Meyer.

The identity of Deep Throat is quite possibly the late 20th century America's biggest mystery with four people who know. And they're not telling.

Unfortunately, if you want help with the identity, I think you'll find that's probably about the only thing we won't be able to answer for you around here. ;)

    (HISTORICAL SPOILER!!!!!)

Deep Throat was -- were -- a pair of Washington D.C. teenage girls who literally stumbled onto evidence of the Watergate coverup. Having gained the favor of President Nixon up until then (the official President's dog-walkers), they were banished from the White House and harassed by the "Plumbers." They took revenge by spilling all they knew to Woodward and Bernstein. A movie was made about this in the late 90's; Kirsten Dunst and Michelle Williams played the teenagers.

Four per a Hutt's hand. Ignoring our own toes, we need both hands to count to ten when using digits to count. And while I can not say for certain, I believe that may be one of the basis for base ten. Hutts' base eight therefore refers to the total number of fingers on both hands as one basis for the system.
