I was at an event this past Saturday and dropped my Scout Helmet (it's a modified Rubies) And I cracked the visor in half.. Anyone have any ideas how I can fix it?? A friend of mine used ABS glue on it and I just want to know if anyone else has any tips on fixing it and making the visor strong again (and look good)

Can you just change the Visor since it's just a Visor? Thot for almost all the helmets (except Altmann) we have to change the Visor to a more accurate one or correct the wrong shape? ?[face_plain]

If the crack is in the visor you should just get a replacement.
If it's in the whole faceplate I would recommend replacing that as well, it's much easier, but with some work it could be fixed. Glue it together the best you can and bondo the gap leftover from the break. You'll need to repaint it as well.

No it's not the lens, the visor of the scout helmet is like that of a baseball hat w/blinders :)

I have a friend that has a spare he's going to give me I still want to see if I can repair the broken one to have just in case this ever happens again...

    Rick,

Jaster here, that sounds bad man.. All I can say is replace it. It will be hard to get it to look good while it's cracked like that, so just try replacing it.

If not, try duck tape!! :D

Hey Jaster! Yeah I've tried fixing it, I filled in the crack and now I need to paint it to see how it looks. Joe has a spare scout helmet I can salvage it off though.
