I need help on force Comander on PC

On Force Commander I'm stuck on the second level, when you get to the sandcrawler what are you supposed to do, I really would appreciate some help.

What I really need to know is how do you get inside the sandcrawler, all I can do is blast into pieces.

 

Did you even click Night's link?

 

Select your troops, hold shift, and click on the sandcrawler. If that doesn't work, hit the right click. I don't remember which.

Funny how many people have asked this question (this is the third person I recall asking this), even though it's in the tutorial and in the manual.

I think this iswhy FoCom gets a bad rap - a LOT of people bought the game, never followed the tutorials / learned the controls & camera, and gave up right away, saying it sucked.

More's the pity because the SP campaign was quite amazing for its time...

Hi it's me again I can't get past the 4th level now were that gun turrent is with them two satalite things any one have any tips.

I just made sure I had enough mechs/troopers during that level, and I did fine, I think.

Can you refresh my memory and tell me what you do in that level?

 

You have to get Dellis inside the computer complex, but about halfway there is a gun turrent that you can get your troops inside, this is about how far I got, but the two satalite shaped guns at the side of you just blast you into piece and I just can't past there.

 

I think I just used largeish numbers to storm them, its been awhile though, so I'm not sure. Is there a way to avoid them?

 

Can you get those artillary guys, and have them lob mortars in from a safe distance?

 

Come to think of it, most of my stratagies involves sending large groups of stormies en masse to swarm something. I'd loose most of them, but then I'd summon more with command points and do it again.

This probobly explains why I didn't get past that lava mission thingy.

Note: It's been forever since I've played the game. The hardest mission was getting your guys (when you're a rebel) to the A-Wings to take off. The second hardest one seems to have been the lava mission (having it timed doesn't help).

I still can't do it, it says select the troop carrier but it won't let me, if I can't do it soon I might give up.
