I need a fair bit of motivation to pick up a book of Star Wars and read.

I would read of I was like heaps bored.

So, I've read Phantom Menace, EP 1:Adventures and some Jedi Apprentice books. Oh yeah and some tales out of the Mos Eisley Cantina, about two or three.

So could you motivate me somehow. [face_plain]

Perhaps Darth Vader could find "new ways to motivate" you. Seriously, I can't remember ever needing motivation to read.

    Can't help you there.
You know how people watch TV when they have nothing better to do? I read.

Pick up one of the Zahn, Stackpole, or Anderson books. I could barely put them down.

Hmm.....try this. Reading increases your brain's ability to comprehend. It increases your vocabulary and improves your grammar. It will also stimulate the creative part of your brain. In addition, it will give you something to do and is very enjoyable.

Wow, there's a lot of Johnny Walkers in this world. There's a social studies teacher at my school with that name.

How 'bout this: Watch the movies, find some ideas you would think would happen after it, and then read the books to see if you have the right idea. ;)

I try to read but when I do I get disturbed easily. This usually results in my reading to end there.

Well, it's sad to see that someone needs "motivation" to read. If you don't read to read, don't. I would recomend reading though. I especially like Tim Zhan's books. I started off with them. Great stuff. :D

I think I know what you need-- a long book. The Episode 1 adventures and JA, being directed toward kids, are pretty short. All the "Tales from" stories are pretty short too. And in The Phantom Menace, you already know what's going on.

Try Shadows of the Empire or Heir to the Empire. :)

Ok, so what happened in Anakin's first race? What kind of fighter did the old spacer tell Anakin and his friends he'd flown? What happened between Anakin and the Tusken Raiders in the Dune Sea. There's a lot more going on in the novelization than appears in the movie. That goes for all the novelizations.

The Tales from/of books are combilations of short stories. If one is looking to read just one story, then their quick to read. But if one looks to read all the stories in the book, that's going to take a little bit longer.

I just finished Hammertong: Tale of the Tonnika Sisters.

It was alright but the end kicked it off. The last four pages or so. :)

When I have nothing better to do, I go on the comp. I'm addicted. I only read when someone else is on the comp. I require motivation too, often. :(

I know there's more to the movie novelizations, but obviously they're not Johnny's style.

I'm a slow reader, and I often find it hard to stay focused in a book. But I really loved Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter. It has short chapters, but it's action packed all the way through, and an ending that, well, it just rocks. I highly recommend it!
