Do you need somebody to go with you to the grocery store too?

Just go by yourself. It isn't that difficult. The lights will be out so anybody who really cares if you are there by yourself won't be able to see that you're there on your own.

 

The grocery store is not a movie theater you fools. You obviously don't know the rules about anything and are at least disqualifying yourself from giving further advice on any topics.

 

Going to the grocery store is a chore. Going to the cinema is traditionally a social activity. Being the extreme anti-so-- introvert that I am, I prefer watching movies at home if I have no one to go with rather than pay $10+ for a ticket. Not to mention that there are never a whole lot of films I want to see in theaters in the first place.

I went alone just once. I was so uncomfortable that I burned down the theater so no one would judge me.

 

Shoot, I've been going to the theater by myself for years, nobody judges you for doing it. That has got to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

 

Going to the theater alone is a good time; even better if no one else is in the the showing with you.

Go see it it on your own! I did it all the time. No one really cares. Unless you look creepy. Do you look creepy?

 

You should feel ashamed. I hate it when movies promote themselves by touting the presence of third-tier comic relief characters. Like when the trailers for The Incredibles basically consisted of nothing but Edna Mode's scenes. Or that ******* squirrel thing from the Ice Age franchise. The minions are on the same level of cheap slapstick material to appeal to 9 year olds.

Also Steve Carell has done nothing to impress me. At least Vince Vaughn, Jack Black, Ben Stiller, and John C. Rielly had some dramatic turns before becoming comic actors. Steve just stands around looking vaguely Italian.

 

There are plenty of fine, fun activities one can done by themselves... going to the movies isn't one of them.

 

I've been to the movies by myself. There were things I wanted to see, so I went.
Paul, if you're worried go during the day on a weekday, that way you don't run into many people.
