There isn't much to tell really. I was here in July of 98 and there were about two dozen of us here back then, everybody knew everybody else and we had massive ICQ chats - half of which were us trying to figure out who was who as we had different names on ICQ than we did elsewhere.

I first recall seeing gabe post around 2000 or early 2001, he had a different name, slave_ii or something along those lines. He had made a couple hundred posts before he announced that he had a new name on the boards and was retiring his old one. I doubt the thread where he announced that exists, but then very little before 2003 seems to exist on these boards - I know as I was searching for something else the other day and couldn't find something from the 2000-2001 timeframe. He changed his reg date after becoming an admin, when or why I don't know, but I do know that I didn't see him at all when the boards started up, if he was there then we would have known him and PreacherBoy likely would have had him banned twice for some petty reason or another.

 

It's good to see that there's still some people around from the old days, even if you don't post much anymore. Congrats on making it this long, Cor!
