Tucson I wanna be a jedi /imperial/trooper and/or sith thread--- costumes

Just an FYI for anyone lurking or thinking about making a cotume, we have several in the works around the TFF and it would not be hard to make duplicates which include a tusken raider, tie pilot, jedi, at at driver, etc

This is Phil,of Galactic Empire Order 66,can some one help me with some sewing on my dark Jedi
costume,my girth has me needing some lengthening the obi that goes around my waist,and some
snaps put on my inner robe.

Anyone knowing how to sew please contact me at Cats house,I am willing to pay for all help.

What do you need done exactly? I have a sewing machine and some skills (ok, quite limited) but whatever I can do to help your welcome to.

 

Ambers mom can also help with anything needed. She is a seamstress

 

If Phil goes that route put him ahead of me with your mother-in-law.

Ask her to come to a meeting so we can meet her formally so we have a name and not "Chris' mother-in-law" or Amber's mom"

Here are a few pics from my tusken, I finished another helmet, and Im finishing two more! The club end is made out of a couch foot, and Im carving the spikes out with a dremel. I made a mold of a teardrop glass, and then a resin cast, then Ill trim it and put it on the finished couch foot, and make a mold of the whole thing, for one solid piece that can be attatched to a shower safety bar.

Damian werent you at C4? ZAnyways it looks great so far Dustin how did you do the bandolier?

 

Believe it or not I don't think (or I don't remember) seeing a Raider at C4

 

the bandolier is an actual 1909 british enfield bandolier, it is old brittle and falling apart so i riveted it onto a new leather strap and then painted it to seal the cracks, and hopefully give it more life.

 

If you go to get some of the bandolier replicas tell me and I'll split shipping with ya.

 

I just finished building the world's cheapest Jawa Ion Blaster

Plastic Pirate Gun from Walmart - $2.88
Black Matte Spray Paint from Walmart - .94
Tomato paste can that was around house - mostly free
Sports Water Bottle [cut most of the body away] - free
Barge glue [already in the house]

Not great but sufficient for my little pesky Jawa's needs.

 

Not bad, Lady J. Its awesome to see the kinds of ingenuity people use while making props.

TK-2970 bought something from him. Unless Dustin is sewing purses together I don't think he can help me Actually, once I make my bracelets we are going to try to have a resin cast made of them.
