I found some toilet repair plastic tubes that will look like a blaster rifle.

 

Ah, the things you find in hardware stores! My brother & I found a pop-up under sink drain repair kit (at Wal-Mart, actually; $10) that works well as a basic lightsaber.

True. I just wanted something basic to play around with while I design my own. And rearranging the parts helped me figure out what I like in a hilt design. Plus, it's just fun to play with.

 

Hey storm trooper princess, any chance you might remember the name of the kit? I might have to end up making a basic lightsaber anyway just because I know I won't have the time to do a really neat one once I start school.

 

It's "bathroom pop-up drain assembly" by Under Sink Repair, for $9.94. Packaged on a blue & white blister pack (cardboard backing with the plastic front). In our super Wal-mart it was close to the shower heads in the home repair section.
