I will be visiting Denmark from the US soon, advice needed! :-)

I was quite shocked that all of the taxis in Copenhagen were Mercedes-Benz. They even had the new E-class ones....

My sister-in-law was telling me how much tax they put on cars there, and I almost fell on the floor...

Example: In the US, a Mercedes-Benz E-Class is about $55,000 - quite a nice luxury car. In Denmark, it's about $160,000 for the same car. The other taxes are only slightly higher than ours here, but you guys get free health care and education...

yeah, car prices in Denmark are insane. But public transportation is almost as expensive as having a car. It's so weird, the politicians say that they want the cars out of Copenhagen but at the same time Public transportation prices are higher than ever and the service is getting worse all the time. Bah!

I think we're all forced soon to use bicycles.

Yes it's very nice that we have free education and health care in the hospitals, but the taxes are horrendous right now, my dad pays as much as 65% in taxes. I think that's too much.

Anyway, it's been really great hearing about your trip, it's very interesting to hear about Denmark from an outside perspective.

 

BTW, Scandinavian women are HOT.

Always nice to hear from people from foreign countrys, we had an exchange student from Canada in our class it was also very nice
