I've been thinking of how we can do that too. We'll just need to pool some money.

I tell you, as soon as I saw that AV vehicle of -luigi-'s my brain started ticking at overtime.

The outfits should be relatively easy...
Either we can modify a few 'mechanic coveralls' to suit, or get a dressmaker to make them from scratch.
I think the former would prove more cost effective.

Regarding the helmets, we may have to take our cue from the 'gurge guys when they made their Tron vid.
However, I wonder if Rosebank still make Stackhats ala the 80's look, in any case, I think we'll be right.
A bit of ingenuity, a few bit's and pieces, string and glue, and voila! A tron dude ready for action.
I can see the fight scenes now, Matrix meets Pelota meets Olympic Discus.
The wirework might get a bit dangerous though, so it'll be release clauses for all the actors. :D

Actually some of the Helmet designs in the up coming Tron 2.0 game is a bit way out compared to the movie. I would think then the use of any old helmet with intersting shapes would be more than suitable.

I reckon stackhats is the easiest way around the helmets ... if anyone still sells the damn ugly things ...

As for the rest of the costume ... I can't make any promises, but I do happen to have access to an exceptional sewer-type-person.

But I know from experience that some styrofoam, rubber piping, and a lotta silver paint can be made to look pretty good ... it just takes some work.

I think you'd have a hard time finding old-style stackhats these days. I used to have one, but that was gotten rid of ages and ages ago. I'm almost positive that they don't make them anymore, so some scrounging might be in order to locate some.

Good job with the test pic, Neech. The challenge now is doing with an animated figure.

You won't have any worries with the old stackhats if you trawl around op-shops and garage sales. Just a bit of leg work, that's all.

I've almost got the story figured (I've jost got to write it down) and I've been working on some more concept art, this time for the bad guys.

I'll actually be using the very same technique for animating, so that won't be a worry at all. It's just going to take a bit of time, patience and practice.

The hardest scenes to do will be those involving characters of seperate colours in a single frame. Instead of doing one effect pass, I'll have to do two.

BTW, I think the bike looks great. I'm just not too sure about the Batman fins on the back.

Nice pics Luigi although I will have to go with Neech with the fins or whatever you want to call them.

I would agree with you if I knew what the virus was. Would have to see the script before I can tell you. Don't take this personally though, but I wouldn't regard any of the concept pics you have done so far as final. As with anything if we want to do this right a rehash and restructure could be in order in just about everything or in nothing. All depends on how well it all fits together.

how dare you criticise my work!

that's it Greiyls, you're off the movie!

(oh and by the way it fits in with the whole virus thing because it's um.... a virus)
