Edmonton I would love to get an official Star Wars Fanclub going here in Northern Alberta...

Is there one going already?

Would like to do a webpage for sure, with perhaps a members list, a member's email/newsletter, etc.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to get started on something like this, or have some links to other pages that I could use for ideas/inspiration?

Hi Indigo_Jade,

To start a FanForce Chapter is easy.

1) Find 2 other people in your area
2) Have 3 meet n' greets at a place of your liking
3) Tell me when and where this will happen so that I can post the events on the FanForce Main page
4) Do this 3 times total and you are an official FanForce Chapter.

I know I can get my brother to join in as well, but I would love to have a bunch of people who love Star Wars as much as me.

I am actually working on a website right now, just tinkering with ideas, so any suggestions would be great!!!

I'll keep this thread updated with progress, hopefully we can get some stuff organized and get "Official" status soon!!!

I really hope we can get this off the ground before Episode II slams into us, it would be kind of cool to be able to get a group together to go and see it.

Not sure how the "official" counting of members goes, but we should now have 5: Myself, my wife, my brother and his wife, and General_Tekno. Not sure if they all have to register on the boards, but if they do, I will get them to do so. Either way, we need more people to join up!!!

Awesome, great to see some intrest!!!!

I am working on the webpage right now, adding in a form for you all to fill out, which will include what times would be best for you to attend events, etc...

I should hopefully be able to get it all done by tommorow sometime, so please check the website again, and keep checking for updates. Now that I know there are people interested, I will turn it up a notch. If anyone has some suggestions on what they would like to see on there, or would like to do some graphic/page design, please let me know!

On another note, I just got off the phone with Silver City and Clareview Town Center theaters, and neither of them have any information on ticket sales yet, so I guess we will just have to be patient.

So as soon as I get that form done, we can get some input on when/where would be a good place to have our events, and we can get planning for our first one...

Just a suggestion, but maybe an Episode II screening?

 

I might be interested, if any solid plans are made soon.
