We made it out alive! lol! Just a day after our meeting, it started raining and then froze for about 2 1/2 days! Schools were closed (mine still is today!), businesses closed, power and phones were gone... Our power was gone for 24 hours and then the phone lines and cable were knocked out for even longer! It really makes you appreciate all you have Did anyone else's power go out? God bless! -Malz
You guys got it much worse than those of us in Atlanta. Of course, you wouldn't have known that by the way the local media was acting. "STORM WATCH 2004: WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!" I'm exaggerating of course, but y'all get my point.
That's almost the opposite of here! We bought a battery radio to listen to what was going on and they acted like everyone had power...and they said that about 100,000 people didn't! And our cable keeps doing weird things... But they kept telling Lincoln County (or was it Lincolnton...) to boil their water! Speaking of water....since we have well water, when the power goes, so does the water! We had an interesting night God bless! -Malz
I don't have well water, but our water pipes did burst 2 years ago and we were without water for 3 days. Things almost became...well...smelly. So I completely understand what you went through.
Eww! I'm glad you know what I mean To flush the toilet we had to go get water from the pool and put it in there...it was kinda sad God bless! -Malz
